Claudia Vorbach is a singer-songwriter and jazz vocalist from Tübingen, Southern Germany. Her music blends jazz, folk, and blues, creating a unique sound that reflects her diverse influences. Claudia grew up in a musical home surrounded by jazz and classical music. She took piano lessons early on and later taught herself to play the guitar. Her vocal development was guided by various teachers, most notably jazz vocalist Freddy Wilkes and Fola Dada, both based in Germany.
"Miss Authentic," a nickname given to her by one of her fellow musicians, captures a key aspect of her music. This moniker reflects the emotional intensity with which Claudia delivers her songs. The way she sings allows listeners to feel the deep passion she has for her music, creating an intimate connection with the audience. For Claudia, each song has its own unique impulse, which drives her during the composing process. This ethos pushes her to cross musical and stylistic boundaries in her work.
Claudia made her debut with the album Come Down Easy (Phonector) in April 2015. Her second album, Is There A Time? (released on December 21, 2018, by Phonector), includes 14 tracks, all written and arranged by Claudia herself. This album has a more jazzy sound compared to her first, which may be attributed to both her evolving compositional style and a change in the lineup of her band. The new lineup featured again Axel Kuehn on double bass and Felix Schrack on drums but she choosed a new pianist: Martin Soeroes All three are jazz musicians from Southern German Jazz Scene. Until the recording session in 2017 they haven't played together in this constellation.

Song review "Magic Is" of the italian arts & architecture blog called "Visual Atelier 8"
https://visualatelier8.com/claudia-vorbach-magic-is/
"Claudia Vorbach’s “Magic Is” is a poetic journey about life’s mysteries, resilience, and the quiet magic in everyday existence. It´s a blend of heartfelt lyrics and soothing melodies, that embraces the unknown with love, courage, and a touch of wonder. The introspective verses reflect on the uncontrollable elements of life—like a salmon’s upstream swim or a bird’s unfettered flight—and find beauty in the unpredictability."(Fernando Nunez, Visual Atelier8, 06th of Jan.2025)
