Hi I’m Emily – I’ve loved Jazz for forever….and totally appreciate it if you want to listen to me or some of my favorite music. I was raised on Jazz - my father used to blast big band jazz throughout the house while I was growing up and he exposed me to so many of the greats. We had Count Basie and his Orchestra play at our house in Lincoln Nebraska - my parents had a party with Sergio Mendez and Brazil 66 (yes '66!!!).....but I've seen so many of the "greats" play - Oscar Peterson, Duke Ellington, Stan Kenton & June Christy!!!, Manard Ferguson, Monte Alexander, Lionel Hampton, Arturo San Doval.....George Benson & Al Jerreau to name a couple more modern players. I love Jazz. I love Billie Holiday and June Christy. I hope you like my music and can see how much these songs mean to me.
