Juliet Varnedoe

New York based musical artist Juliet Varnedoe writes and produces innovative Cajun French songs that reflect her pioneering, visionary spirit. She draws from her Louisiana roots to combine Acadian traditional folk songs, electronic French pop, and New Orleans jazz traditions. 

Her years of performance in New York cabaret clubs and venues such as Don't Tell Mama, the Deluxe, Montauk Club, and Pete's Candy Store, solidifies her stage persona as a Cajun French chanteuse - a unique America jazz singer sharing the joie de vivre of the Cajun people. 

AllAboutJazz praises her first single releases from her upcoming debut album, CAJUN BLEU as "a sultry and humid performance, recalling a Romantic long-ago memory sung with seductive cleverness and mirth...Varnedoe has developed a keen feel for the collective music of New Orleans...that freely mixes Dixieland with zydeco, the blues, and sleek Caribbean sounds, creating a languid, humid and organic breeze." (2022) 

Classical trained as a pianist and singer, Varnedoe brings a unique interpretation to blues and jazz standards alike.  She is currently recording her debut album entitled "Cajun Blue" to be released in 2023.
